I have a 2006 Mercury Verado 275hp, and the tilt/trim leaked out all the oil. Where is the fill hole located??? The fill hole on most mercury's is right on the front of the trim motor, and they have a plastic screw plug. My engine does not have that fill hole or the plastic screw plug. I have looked and looked for a oil reservoir plug and I cannot locate it. If it matters, my engine is mounted to a hydrolic jack plate. Can somebody please tell me how to add oil to my tilt/trim unit. Thank you for your help.

I finally found the fill hole. In case somebody comes across this post sometime in the future who has the same engine, the fill hole is on top of the tilt/trim unit. It is completely hidden when the motor is down, so you have to tile the motor up to see the hole. There is a yellow nut with wires coming out. Turn the nut 1/4 turn and it will pop out and slide up the wires. Pour automatic transmission fluid or Mercury brand trim/tilt fluid in the same hole the wires are coming out of. Fill it until fluid is 1' from the top.
The Mercury engineer who designed the trim unit had his head stuck up his [censored]. When there is no fluid the engine cannot be tilted up to access the fill hole. I had to get a farm jack and rope to use to tilt the motor up to access the fill hole.
