Here's what I learned...
1) Frisco after 10 AM on Sunday, can eat a bag of D's! I've never seen more nonsense on the road, in parking lots, etc. 2) HEB as a store is amazing. Grocery store mecca! I was impressed with just about everything we saw, including the prices for their in house brands. 3) People as a whole have lost courtesy and patience. When did we as a society lose the ability to wait 30 seconds while I review selections and make my choice between the variety of cheese. Just reach over or crowd you until you move an inch. 4) HEB's meat counter is where I want to spend my entire savings. Those dry aged slabs of meat were impressive. 5) Beer / wine selection rivals just about any place I've been to. Congrats on that.
Overall, I'd go back only during weekdays and either late at night or early morning.

Order online and do curbside pickup. They charge 3% over the in store prices for this luxury, but it's so freaking worth it. You don't have to deal with the craziness of the stores and the inconsiderate people blocking the aisle.

Wait what?
The woman has been doing this and I didn't know there's a 3% up charge. That's the gas money to go to and from the store.
Nah. I love HEB but No.

One of the things we miss from our time in Texas. The store brand Ice Cream was great too.
May you be treated the way you treat other people, today and everyday!

I want a beef tongue and HEB is the only place that sells it.
Depending on where the HEB is. They stock regional food.
Wal-Mart is industrial assembly line. It'll keep you fed but for the food you grew up with. HEB.

Never ever go to HEB on Sunday. That was a rookie mistake. Best time to go is 7-8 am or 9-10 pm any morning or night but Sunday.

I have never paid extra charge for curbside pickup. If you look at the available time slots it show which ones have a charge and which ones are free. I always just move my pickup to the first or second free slot. I went into the store one time, now I do the order on line do the curbside pickup.

HEB was a tiny place in Belton. First starting out.
Then they expanded. The grocery store became the tax office. Where'd you go to pay tax on a car title transfer.
Big store. Then a bigger store.
They're the real deal, old school Texas.

I don't want some 18 year old that was just picking his nose choosing my fresh fruits or veggies. I don't want substitutions. No curbside for me but hey, I'm retired.
I have no problem with someone loitering 2-3 minutes to make a choice. I get my stuff and move on.. There are some caveats to that last statement ... spices are always a hard find and sometimes are hard choice. Picking through meat offerings (like bacon or steaks or even salmon filets) takes a discerning eye. I do adhere to the rules of the road and never stop in the middle of an isle blocking all traffic.
HEB Plus are the best of any grocery stores I've ever been to by far. Love them.
Advice? Wise men don't need it. Fools won't heed it.

Fresh warm tortillas! Daggum they're fire! Had them for dinner. Hit the cheese counter first. Colby cheese put on the warm tortilla and munch on it while shopping

3% on $300 is $9. Yeah, my time is worth more than that $9 and I'm one of the cheapest people you'll ever meet.
