Tournaments aside. I would not have a boat on the water if an elite event is happening. Just my opinion. Why? We have every right to fish just as they do. I’ve fished a tournament on Fork the same Saturday as Elites. Never saw a wrapped boat. That's cause they didn't know about the super secret ramp on the other side of culvert where all the 2.5 pound unders live Wish I’d of known about that ramp! 😎

I don’t run a tournament trail. But I wouldn’t want to be out running a little high school tournament on the same day the elites are fishing no matter the size of the lake - it’s opinion.

I don’t run a tournament trail. But I wouldn’t want to be out running a little high school tournament on the same day the elites are fishing no matter the size of the lake - it’s opinion.

600 tournament boats on Toledo Bend is just a normal weekend. Not sure how many of y’all have spent time out there, it’s freaking huge and it’s absolutely a crowded mad house 7 days a week this time of year. Just as many boats on the water Tuesday-Thursday as the weekends.
You wanna talk about miserable.. be out there when one of those big oil mans tournaments is on the lake, worst group of anglers I’ve ever encountered on the water.

Smart money bets a couple hs kids and their captains prefish the bent rod pattern Saturday and are sitting in elite leaders hole before the sun comes up Saturday because they get to launch so early.

THSBA doesn’t allow tournaments that size- that’s SE TX high school group
It’s your perception that things are stirred up. I heard from a good source there was a big high hs tournament there Saturday. Key word heard. Then it was clarified - not 450 but 150 boats. I’m not going to spend hours researching hs fishing when I can hear about here. 600 tournament boats on Toledo Bend is just a normal weekend. I saw where Chris Zaldain stated there was going to be a 400-500 boat high school tournament going out of Cypress Bend also the same day as the Elites. Is there any basis of this or is he just talking about things he knows nothing about also.

Lots of boats on a lake- this is normal, Elites aren’t special and should be treated with the same respect you would any other fisherman you encounter on the water.
