Okay good folks, this is a hard one to ask. First my story, After dealing with a life changing illness (stomach cancer) and with the mercy of God almighty,. I have gained the strength to go out for a full day of fishing again🙏 My best friend that fished many years of tournaments with me back in the day has bought a new boat so that we can go hit the lakes again and hopefully catch a big PB and or just have fun again. He wanted to try O H Ivey last year but the chemo had me stuck in the chair at home most of the time. Neither one of us have ever been to this lake and I’m not asking for anybody’s secrets but if anyone out there doesn’t mind, will you please PM me? Any thing will help even if it’s what section of the lake we should spend time searching for a bite at.Full moon this Saturday so we picked this weekend. We will be launching at Elm Creek. I know that the lake has been fishing tough but it’s one on our bucket list so a fishing we go…. Thanks in advance 🙌
Tim G.

Tim, I can't help you with big bass spots on Ivie, but God bless you for that fight you endured. I hope you guys are blessed with an epic day on the water. I will say that lake has some of the craziest white bass action I've ever seen. My son and I were out there last year and were running from spot to spot in the middle of the south end near the dam and it looked like an acre (or more) of water was boiling. I came off plane right in the middle of it and we caught whites on topwater every cast until we were tired of catching 'em. Not what you're looking for, but a ton of fun nonetheless on a tough bass bite day. .

It can definitely be a tought lake bit there's big fish there for sure. You can run up in that creek that's almost across from elm creek. Also another one after you come out of elm creek towards the main lake on your right. Or try up the river but watch out for stumps lake is pretty low so you can be right in the river channel and still be by trees. Best of luck
