The bad parts of New Mexico are along the interstates…and yes, they are bad, but not as bad as Newark or Detroit.
You gotta head up those Sangre de Christos and the Jemez range. Son, you will see the spirit essence of the universe.

Parts of New Mexico are magical and amazingly spiritual, like very few other places on earth.
….and they have some of the best food on the planet.
Fishing and snowboarding are great also.
I ignore politics. I'm with you. New Mexico is beautiful in spots. So is Colorado. Liberal or not.

For example....
My favorite place to hunt is Kansas....
Fish? (TX is my 1st choice) Louisiana....
Calm my mind? CO, NM and Monterrey, CA, "Lone Cypress"...etc, etc, etc.

Florida, it actually is my favorite but unfortunately my business interests don't travel. Once the boy gets grown up and out of college we'll end up there. Sadly he's only 12. Better hope he doesn't get married and have kids right away because Nana won't want to move away from them. Ask me how I know.
