ACalifornia pit bull breeder was brutally mauled to death by the very dogs he cared for in his own backyard. The slain man's girlfriend made a gruesome discovery on Friday morning when she found her boyfriend's mutilated body lying in a kennel area. The Compton Fire Department, along with the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department, responded to the backyard bloodbath around 8 a.m. after the woman called 911. Aerial footage shows a woman carefully scaling a fence in an attempt to exit the backyard of the Compton home teeming with pit bulls. https://www.theblaze.com/news/pit-bull-breeder-mauled-death-backyard

Never will. These are not pets in the general sense.

Looking at the kennels, it looks like a puppy mill kind of place.

We all have a opinion on these dogs and other breeds like them. I would be for getting rid of this breed all together, unless someone can tell me a good reason to off set all the killings by this breed.

Had a friend walking a lab down our country road on a leash. Pit bull broke a chain and ripped the labs stomach open before he could do anything. He grabbed the pit bull by the neck to separate them and the pit bull bite him enough times he ended up in ER.

But, but, but…my Pits are the sweetest dogs ever and would never hurt anyone. Or my favorite: More Poodles bite folks than Pits so maybe would should ban those too….or there is this one: It’s the owners of the Pits who train them to be mean or they abused them. When a Pits kills someone the owner says: I don’t understand, he was so nice and cuddly and never has bitten anyone…he just snapped for no reason.

My daughter takes horse lessons and the owners husband often has very white trash friends over. I was walking to our car and an owners friend had a nasty mangy looking pit running around. I don’t trust big dogs and was staring at it while walking to the car, I guess the dog felt threatened and starting barking crazy at me. White trash friend said “I’ve never seen her bark like that before”. I hate them!

We had blue tick and black and tan hounds growing up that if the neighbors dogs came down and stated running cattle ours would join up but without the neighbors dogs ours never ran the cows. Pits are just evil, in my opinion

Living in Colorado years ago I had an older husky/shepard mix dog. She would go everywhere with me. Coming back home one day from a pistol match we had got home and there was a pit running around our house( lived in country on a couple of acres). No idea who's dog it was. It started at the my old dog. I had my pistol on since I had just come back from the match(lost by the way..:). The pit had grabbed the my dog by the hind end and was going nuts. I emptied a full magazine of .45acp into it. Probably dead by the second shot but I was furious to say the least. Never found out where the pit came from. I reported what happened to the county sheriff just to cover my butt if there was any blow back. My dog healed up after a bunch of vet work but she was never the same.
Morale of the story...I will end any pit bull that comes at me or my dogs and I don't care what anybody says . They are a dangerous breed.
