I have 2 working Lowrance HDS gen 2 touch units 7" and 9" that I will be putting up for sale in the next couple days. What is a fair value price that will get them sold? They work and I will show pics, they just came off my boat. They come with a gimbal bracket, power cord, original boxes and sun cover, but no transducers. I will do some research on ebay to see what others are asking, but just wanted to reach out and see if anyone has sold some recently. Thanks for any input.

I sold a Gen2 9" with the side scan transducer in late 2022 for $300. Included the sun cover and power cord but no gimbal.

With no transducer, maybe ask $200 and be willing to take $150.

You can ask for “dirt & cheap”. Pay a ton for them, get next to nothing in return. Might as well run them until the burn up.

I might take the 9" if it comes with the power cord and price is right.

I traded a $99 marine radio for a Gen3 9. No transducer.

Sadly, anything older than Carbons are pretty useless in a modern setup. I got the 9 just for mapping.

It is sad that people believe this. I have 2 gen 3 units networked with a Live unit and the Gen 3's do everything the Live does except Active Target.
The live is connected to the 3 in 1 transducer and the Gen 3's share the info. I also have a Point one that feeds information to all three units.

Yeh. It’s true though….even you say it. “Networked with a live”. The side imaging sucks without a LSS box and the transducer to go with it.

I have mine networked with Carbons…..it’s great for mapping.
cheers

I have never seen side imaging better than I have. Maybe it exist but I have not seen it.

Good working units, just trying to get dialed in on a fair price for them. Sun cover, power cord, bracket, original boxes Just briefly on Ebay saw HDS 9" gen 2 asking $300 to $600. I'm more interested what they have been selling for from anyone on this forum. They would be great on kayaks, jon boats, or a starter old fishing boat.

Gen3 will network with carbon/live, the gen2 will not. Still good units, just have to have the proper transducers for them.

They are worth what someone is willing to pay for them, throw out a number and you’ll know pretty quickly if you’re too high. I’d say you might get $250 for the 9, maybe $350-$400 for the pair.
