I tried that out yesterday. In all my years of fishing I'd never done it it seems to work and work WELL. I had one of the best days fishing I've ever had in my lifetime. Any of you guys do this?

Nope. I just go fishing when I can go fishing.

I watched a podcast on this awhile back. They all seemed convinced that it really works.

The fact that we’re still debating it after 5 decades tells me there’s nothing conclusive about it. I fish whenever I can.

Whether you believe it or not, always be on your best spots during a major and minor feeding time, especially during a tournament.

Honestly I never bought in to it until Friday, I kind of hung it out there with horoscopes and such, never thought that much about trying it. The only negative I could really see with the whole situation was I was loosing about half the fish at the boat because they were slapping at the squarebills I was throwing. Almost every fish I boated was hooked in the side of its head or body. Even had a really good one break me off; that's on me, should have changed line.

I don’t plan my fishing trips around it but there has been many days when the bite was really slow and all of a sudden start catching them right and left, looked at my hunting app and would be in a major feed. As Bass-n-Buck said I would be in my favorite spot on a major or minor feed. Used to fish the bay at night all the time and the biggest trout would always come on a major or minor feed.

I live on a lake and am retired. Maybe I'll start fishing the majors and some minors. As far as fishing when I can. I can fish most anytime. But I really don't fish as much as I should.

not for bass but do so when planning vacations to fish salt water. Had one my best trips planned around the tides that week in the everglades a couple of years ago. Saw more birds, more snakes, more crocodiles, and more sharks than at any time of fishing the place regularly for 20 years when I hadnt planned. Do take note of it when I hear them mention the times on saturday morning fishing reports on radio... may start paying more attention.

A good rule of angling philosophy is not to interfere with another fisherman's ways of being happy, unless you want to be hated.

There's an app called BassForecast you can download. I've gone during the "Major" feeding times a lot. There have been times that I felt like it had worked, and also times in which I didn't think it worked. I've had some great days on days in which they said were bad days, and some bad days in which they said were great days. It's not a guarantee every time you go kind of thing. I think of it more like playing Black Jack, to where you play your hand in which the odds are in your favor. In your favor to hit, or to stay. Dealer can be showing a 6 and you're dealt a 20. Book says you should win this hand 9+ times out of 10, but dealer can still draw out and hit 21, which unfortunately seems to happen a lot to me. The conditions and timing can be perfect, but that doesn't always guarantee success. It's just in your favor that you will be successful. Overall I still believe there is some truth to the Solunar Table. I still keep an eye on it, and like to go fishing on days that show to be excellent.

Fish probably effect when other fish eat, so when one eats it may start a chain reaction kinda like the dinner table, as soon as one person goes for the banana pudding others don't wait around or you may go hungry.

I bet hunters use it a lot more as they can see with their eyeballs what is going on activity wise.

A buddy of mine is always checking the major and minor times and I think he just fishes more focused during those times.

For me, I just fish when the Cows are feeding. laugh

Now I’m curious.
According to the tables, tomorrow is prognosticated to be a sub-average day with the best hope being from 1:38-3:38.
I’ll be out fishing all day, so I’ll do an independent test of this prediction and see how it works.
