Other than $150 difference in price, is the Conquest series any better than the NRX+ series?

I don’t know broke my NRX and they said it was discontinued. Don’t really see the difference, but it cost me 200 and some dollars for the #Warranty deal.

Short answer, no. The conquest lineup is only available in MBR actions and the only noticeable difference is it doesn't have recoil guides which I guess is an advantage if you do braid to leader. While I have several MBR's in both the Conquest series and the NRX+, I don't have the same model of each but to me the Conquest seems a to flex a bit deeper in the blank. A plus for the Conquest is they have 2 additional rods that aren't offered in the NRX+ series, the 782c and 905c. The 782 is a great BFS rod but I rarely pull it out of the locker. The 905 is my go to for a-rigs, glide baits, and swim baits.

I gotta bunch of both of them. All of my NRX's are older models with split grip. The handles on these rods are a little short for my preference. I like the longer handles on my Conquests. As far as feel for bottom contact baits I can tell no difference

I have picked up a few Conquest rods in the store but I did not like the way they felt. Just too stiff IMO. I use the GLX for fishing soft plastics and jigs and they work great. I have never owned an NRX and I just don't think it would be vastly better than the GLX. These opinions are not based on the $ amounts of the rods. If I thought the others were better I would get them in a heartbeat.

I still have two of the GLX rods, had an NRX. The GLX rods are still my favorite. They we're $400-$500 rods when I got them, but I got them "free" when buying my first Ranger boat 20 years ago. I've used a few other new/expensive Loomis' as well, the old GLX's from when Gary still ran the company are still the best imo.
I use a lot of Fitzgerald rods now, not sure I'd buy a Loomis anymore, I'd probably go to an Edge Rod if I want that type of sensitivity.
