Safety is a difficult position to get into the HoF.
He wasn’t a flashy player, nor incredibly fast, wasn’t a sack monster off the outside or an interception machine, or big hitter; but hardly ever caught out of position or burned like toast. He should be in for his consistent excellence and longevity, but the HoF likes flashy players with flashy stats like INTs and forced fumbles.
The recently inducted safeties include Ed Reed, Brian Dawkins, Troy Polamaulu, John Lynch, Ronde Barber, and Leroy Butler.
He was better than Lynch and Barber.

They should line up every one of the voters and let Woodson get a free shot with a ten-yard start.
Even at his age, I bet they would all vote for him next time. That boy could really lay the wood on someone.
