Planning a 4 fishing day trip to Texas middle to late March - From Kansas City.
We dont use FFS and mostly like to flip and pitch around.
Nacogdoches Area?
We have fished Fork a few times but looking for less pressure. Likely to stop in a day and on the way home.
Any thoughts would be great. Thanks

Don't need FFS to catch fish during the spawn on those lakes for sure.

Middle of March is good for all those lakes around a Nacogdoches.
It will happen earlier than usual this year.

I saw water temps in the upper 50’s yesterday. It’s gonna be going good by early March.

Last Sun water temp on an east texas lake was 41-43, one week later today it was 52-58.
We had a good day and caught 40-45 fish up to 6 pounds. A-rig and Hybrid hunter in 2-7 feet of water
All fish were caught in areas with wind, grass and water temps 54 and higher. we replicated this pattern in 4 different areas and all the females were very c'hunky.
I think this "fake spring" and warmer rain has them thinking it's close to the time.

I will guess it’s half way over at Falcon. Early bed making in warm spring fed creeks in the Hill Country.

If targeting the Nacogdoches area, it sounds like second week of March looks better than the last week of March
If looking at Pines/Caddo/Fork area maybe the last week of March

Lake o Pines, you'll drive right by it if you're going to Nacogdoches. The lake will be up with all the rain we've had. You can flip willows for days. Unless the Corp drops the lake level.
