I’m very limited on tools and y’all were kind enough to help me before. I need to buy a single 3/8” drill bit to use in a 1/2” drill. I need to drill a couple holes in a 1” x 1” square steel tubing and want to get a bit to do the job. Lots of options out there.
Thanks, Robert

for a 1/2" hole you need 2 bits, pilot hole of 1/8 to 1/4" then the 1/2" hole.
just the 1/2" bit can be done if you go slow with it, use wd40 or blaster for lubricant/coolant.
pilot hole is better.
milwaukee or dewalt bits are good
