I’m wanting to get Sea dek only on the bottom portion of my Cougar where your feet are when you are driving. Anybody know a good place to get it done reasonably. I was quoted 900 dollars which seemed high.

I bought two rolls of the stuff. $5 for a 36” x 96” roll. Enough to do two boats. It comes with instructions. Seems pretty simple.

This one gets recommened quited a bit in the Skeeter Forum over on BBC, price depends on boat and options, but IIRC the cost was less than half of your pricing. But, you have to remove carpet/install yourself of course. It's not too bad of a job from what I've read - does require a bit of elbow grease but nothing overly dramatic.

IF you're planning on keeping your rig a long time, safe floor is a life time product, sea dek is not.

It is not a do it yourself project.
It's all dependent on how long you're planning on keeping your sled.

Akin to a Hamby keel guard vs a peel n stick guard. Both work, for a while.

I installed SeaDek in a couple of my boats and 8 years later(see pic) and lots of hours and it still looked and performed great - I have safe floor now, but if you crawl around on it it feels like gravel. I fish in shorts about 8 months out of the year and it will tear your knees up. I am sure it will last forever, but not as comfortable standing either. I believe it was about 1200 when I installed it.

Yeh. It’s definitely cheap enough that if (when) I mess up a cut, I just toss it aside and grab another chunk and start over.

I have 1/4 padded carpet on the front and rear decks. I am only putting seadeck in the lower console floor, step pad on the bow, trolling motor pedal, scuff area where the rod tips lay in front of the consoles, and MAYBE, the trailer steps to match the boat. I have way too much with $10 worth.

I’ll get it when my wife gets back from the gym. She bought it for me. I only answered to question of what color. Haha.

I had added FOCEAN Boat Flooring - EVA Foam Boat Decking (Amazon purchase) the cockpit floor (older Ranger boat) a few months ago. Been holding up pretty well. Prepping out the old carpet was a bear, installation of the new foam wasn't all that bad...but haven't tackled the front and rear decks yet.
