I have only been on the water for about 3 hours this year .
I have been looking for crappie suspended in deep water on the south end of Palestine,

I am seeing some shad , some fish suspended underneath ,, but I think there are more catfish than crappie.

Any one have some good images of suspended crappie school this winter ?

You might look at some of the YouTube anglers. Search crappie fishing and load up on the various areas ! Some of the screen shots via "The Old Fisherman from Lake Murray, South Carolina will floor you !

That is what I have been hoping to see, Have not seen it yet.

Could you tell if the most active fish were in the top half of the school or bottom half ?

I saw that kind of image today in 42 FOW. They would not think about taking my offering. Since I didn't catch one I am assuming they were crappie.

these images are more round than the images I have seen on my last 2 trips. What I have seen were more scattered and
elongated.

Yeah I was pouting cause my boy caught two PB's that morning

Some days they won't do anything and it will make you furious. I'm not good enough to really say. When I find them I just keep firing into them till they eat. I have worked school like that for an hour with zero bites then you cN come back 2 hours later and wreck them. I think they are worse than bass about getting tight lipped

A few good ones.
