Just curious, do they have the tendency to congregate according to size? I know the ones that could be considered a tasty meal won't be hanging with the big ones. I was on Hubbard last night. Fishing was constant but very slow. The fish were very active moving on and off structure but the ones I did catch, were extremely nice if you don't count the crazy yellow bass.

I hooked into five hybrids, 3 made it inside the boat. I only kept the one that bled out all over me and the boat. What a mess!! The Sandies last night were competing with with the hybrids in size nearly but it was slow. Every time a storm would get close they would start hitting. When it passed and the water went dead calm, it was hard to get anything but the crazy yellow bass.

Perhaps all the fishing pressure on Hubbard is starting to take its toll. I read one of the posts that said they counted 35 boats in a show. Hubbard isn't all that big. I wonder how long it can remain a quality fishery with that much constant pressure. These other lakes can't fully open any time too soon.

The Sandies & Large mouth tend to school in the same year class.

Keep those "crazy" yellow bass. They are great to eat and there are no size or number limits!

I have been hearing that Hubbard cannot sustain the fishing it gets for about 15 years. They are Sandies and breed like underwater rabbits. LOL

I feel more like I do now than I did when I first got here!

I call them crazy because they are not much bigger than the 2 oz slabs I'm using. I have yet to catch one over 6 inches.
