…and if you do night fishing, LED strips are not sufficient; you would need something like this for night fishing…mounted on top of the front handle with pvc works. To make the system completely removable, mount to a one foot long 1inch diameter PVC. Drill holes in the pvc all the way through. Robust zip ties all the way through the pvc and mount to front handle. To remove, cut off the zip ties.

OP I’ve been down this road with installing access hatches, spot lights, led strip lights, USB charging ports, 12 volt charging ports, ect. and never used any of it more than once. The LED strip lights were the biggest pain. After doing all of this I said if I ever want lights again I will mount lights with built in batteries on a gear track. My biggest regret was creating another way for water to get in the hull when I installed the access hatches. Most hatches are not waterproof if submerged. You can get some really bright LED head lamps nowadays that work great. Stanley makes a hand held battery powered spot light that is bright and lasts for hours.
You get out of it what you put into it!

![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2024/01/full-76913-212601-6br6adr_1.jpg) I had the bait chewing on the green part of my kayak once upon a time.

That’s a great idea, I’m definitely going to explore that option. I might have wires that lead to a lithium battery just because I’ve already got a wire leading to my fish finder.
