A reel seat came loose (unglued) on one of my favorite rods. I looked up mudhole and they have a Pro-Paste epoxy, but I'll have to wait a week and pay shipping to get it. Does anyone know if another common epoxy would work just as good?

I broke a rod at the butt once. I made clean cuts on the edges and then epoxied a piece of another broken rod inside of both pieces. Can't tell the rod was ever broken. I bet the cheap 2 part epoxy from Wal-Mart will work just fine. I have used it for the grips just below the reel seat before and I haven't had a repair fail yet.

You will need to drill a small hole in the reel seat. I like to do it in the area where the foot of the reel goes, so it cant be seen. Be careful to only go through the reel seat and not the blank. Use a 2 part liquid epoxy from home depot and inject it into the hole you drilled with a syringe. Try to get a good amount in there then spin the reel seat to mix it around a little bit. Line it back up with the guides and let it cure.
