Is there a spot where one might be able to catch one of the larger blue cats from the bank at Tawakoni ?? I don't have a boat to get to the river or creek channels so looking from the bank . I do have some 10 and 12 foot rods that can cast a long ways but will it be far enough to maybe get a biggun' ?? I have fished Arm Point Park and caught some smaller fish during the summer but don't really know that much about places to bank fish at Tawakoni . I would guess that cut bait would be best for the bigger cats ? Is there any place around the lake to actually buy cut bait or baits to cut up ? Wanting to fish this Sunday from after 10:30 when I get back from church , the wind is supposed to be from the WNW at 10-20 so I guess that will be a big variable as well . Thanks in advance for any suggestions or help that you might could give . Tight lines and happy fishing to everyone .

I see a lot of people fishing off the big point at Anchor Inn when the winds been blowing out of the south and also Windpoint Park.
Fish N Store and Trotline Bait and Tackle usually have fresh shad. Both are located just before the 2 mile bridge on the west side.

That is the Arm Point Park where I have been before , might be able to reach deep enough water from the lake side of the point . Gonna call Fish N Store to see what bait they have available , may need to try and catch some with a cast net but I am sure it will be hard to find in the colder water .

If you do go fish Twok keep your expectations low. The big fish population has been decimated by guys keeping them. It’s rare to see a giant even caught out of that fishery anymore.

To be totally honest , I am just hoping to catch 1 fish that might be 10 lbs or better so my expectations are pretty low considering that I am fishing from the bank . Is there another lake that I should target instead of Tawakoni from the bank ??
