I went to ugly sticks for everything. You can get a ton of variations with them. Best rod out there for the price point.

So I did the math and the deals going on right now- I can get 10 WS FMJ's for 600 or I can get 10 white Madkats for 645. So the deal is a wash basically. Think I'm going to pull the trigger on the MK. Thanks for the replies. Can't go wrong with Mad Katz either. I have 8 of them too. I wish they made one like the Catfish and Carp rod. That thing is an absolute blast to catch a 10-20 lb cat on.

I have to say they're probably the best feeling "catfish" rod that I've put my hands on in terms of quality and action, and at that price, pretty hard to beat. I've thought about the WS Cat & Carp rod for one handed general purpose live bait rod in small river runs/holes for whatever is sitting in it. I've read they aren't much different than a slower MH Bass rod, would you disagree?
