Looking for a quality guide on Sam Rayburn. Who's your go to? I've never been on the lake. Wanting to hire for April 20th.

Everyone is reliant on tourney winnings there - good luck finding a good one…

April 20th is the Big Bass Splash, guides can’t fish in that and if you weren’t planning on fishing the Bass Splash I wouldn’t hire a guide for that weekend, gonna be a [censored] show.

That won’t be the best day to be on Rayburn as it will be overcrowded due to the Sealy tournament. But anytime you want a trip, feel free to give me a call. I run Bent Rods Guide Service. We have, IMO, some of the best guides on the lake. Feel free to call me anytime, 318-308-5818 Josh Sikes

It's the day before the tournament. I haven't ever been on the lake and my dad wants to fish that tournament before he gets too old. He's 73.

The 20th is actually the middle day of a three day cluster tourney. I'd pick another lake or another weekend. And it's going to be even worse being the 40th anniversary tourney paying out $1.3M.

If I were you. I would study up online, try to learn as much as you can about getting around.

Buy a boat lanes download, I wouldn’t get crazy running around all over the places. Just pick a section and really fish it.

Maybe I would consider buying some waypoints off fishtips.com if I had very limited time to fish ahead of time. You can buy some brushpile or hard spots…

Otherwise just launch and join the zoo those days. Enjoy the day, and cross your fingers.

Maybe Clark Rheem could do a zoom call with you for a few hours help you out with questions.
