Anyone know if Garmin is coming out with their version of 360 imaging? Have Garmin everything else and will wait to pull the trigger if they have a plan to release one. If not I have no choice but to go with a Bird.

Yes I plan on calling Garmin later when they open. Was just wondering if any rumors are out there.

I highly doubt it, as when you use the livescope in perspective mode it's a live version of the same thing.

Here is a clip I made a while ago fishing a boat ramp in perspective mode.

Disregard. Just got them on the phone and they have no plans on releasing one. Looks like Birds the word.

No offense intended- I do not know if you've seen a quality 360 image, but that perspective mode video looks horrible compared to what Mega 360 shows. Mega 360 imho is one of 3 things Bird got right. Mapping, SI, and 360 are all excellent with Bird. MegaLive, however, is trash.

I wouldn't call it trash. It is all in the setup. I have live running to a designated 12 volt 3 feet away from the transducer and its plenty good.

perspective mode is horrible. I have tried with a LV32 and a 54. Just no comparison at all to the 360 mega. I want the 360 but just cant justify having another screen and junk up front. I can see how ppl get lost in the electronics. "gotta have it all".

Yeah im still kicking it around but definitely want it. Will not have to run additional wires seeing how I just need to tie into my existing Echo Map setup however will need a new mount situation to accommodate another screen up there. Will be cluttered for sure.

Honestly just my experience. I fish mostly offshore structure. I had a 12" Helix with Mega360 that was awesome and waited what seemed like a couple years for the Live ducer to become available. During that time I saw LVS32 images and would've been thrilled to get that. After hours of internet study and trying different settings over a few month period I gave up. Bought a 12' Garmin and LVS34 and it is lightyears ahead of Bird Live straight out of the box. Happy you were able to get a satisfactory performance out of it.
