FedEx got my package in hand on 1/05/24 in Denver Colorado. It is now 19 days later and there is still no delivery date. Tracking is only updated once every 2-3 days and, in one case, it took two business days for the package to move from Hutchins to Dallas. At this point I doubt I will ever see the package and vendor agreed and gave me a full refund. They are either now using pack mules instead of trucks or they are being managed by the Postmaster General who is moonlighting.

What a clown show. I told the vendor if they had let me know they used FedEx Economy Post I would never have placed the order. Both FedEx and UPS are not set up to move the Post packages; they just throw them into a bin and that bin will not move until it is full and will not be loaded into a truck until there is a truck that has extra room. In my case, it has taken three weeks to go from Denver to Dallas. In the meantime, I sent a package USPS Ground Advantage and it went from Bullard to Washington state and was delivered in 4 days.

Heh, I have a package that was shipped to me on 1/19. It moved 90 miles to the next Fedex location in one day, but has been sitting in that same city for three days now.

A pack mule would have been at your door two weeks ago.

Have we established that FedEx is, in fact, using mules? If so, I will dust off the business plan I prepared years ago that centered on the concept of the rented mule. I was unable to source venture capital funding at the time so maybe the market conditions have changed.

Multiple revenue streams to be had there - mule rental, selling fertilizer, and you could probably arrange free grazing pasture so that the landowner can keep an ag exemption

Brilliant. I'll reserve a 5% stake and a board seat for you. Preference for convertible senior debt, I presume?

Not to hijack my own thread but I used to know a grizzled older woman who raised and trained racing mules. Evidently out West there is a mule racing circuit which might explain the issues in those states. In any case, for those wanting to start up a mule business, racing mules might just be the ticket.

I absolutely HATE usps. They have to be the absolute worst delivery service out there. I've never once had an issue with UPS or FedEx.
