It’s not so much that everything has gone up, the value of our paper money has cratered.

We buy Costco Kirkland grain free Salmon and Sweet Potato 35lb bag for around 50 bucks. It went up about 15 bucks since Covid. I think a lot has to do with shipping costs due to the size and weight.

I feed Taste of the wild. That is what the breeder fed. Its about 50 bucks for a 40 lb bag. My local feedstore has a program, buy 10 get one free.

Also for Pet Meds check out Costco. They do animal meds through the pharmacy as well.

I started buying baked chickens from Walmart, for $6.00 to top off dry food and a little beef broth it’s a bargain.

Just debone and add some each night.

Dog loves it.

If by 'decent' you mean healthy that is similar to what I have seen. I have 3 pups. 1 of which is a 13 year old German Shorthair. She is sensitive to grain we found out the hard way. We were feeding VICTOR until the e coli outbreak and switched to Diamond of a similar blend. Not much difference in price however. VICTOR is back but I have been slow playing getting back on their wagon.

Dog supplies and pool supplies are just nuts now.

I'm trying to keep the three of them all on the same thing. My oldest one, that I'm about to have to put down, she's got the sensitive stomach. The Beneful seemed to not make her puke and squirt. Guess we're gonna try the homemade stuff and see what happens. That little black dog I posted earlier is just a pig. He'll scarf his bowl down and then kick the other dogs off their bowl and eat theirs too. He once figured out how to open the feed container and decided he was just going to eat when ever and how ever much he wanted too. Fat boy has issues.

The ONLY good thing about winter is pool chemical use stops, the prices for shock and chlorine were redonkulous last summer

I catch chicken thighs on sale. Slow boil 8 or 10 up. Pull the meat throw away bones and skin. Cook up 2 or three cups of jasmine or brown rice. Run carrots, breen beans, sweet potatoes, peas (only 2 selections at a time) cook them down till most of water is gone. Mix all together. My yorkie loves it. Lots of protein. No stomach issues and she doesnt get constipated like she did with the dry dogfood. Makes enough for 4 or 5 quarts to freeze.
