Bought a few of each recently as 1 certain lake fish is conducive for a deep/on bottom swim bait.

Weather has sucked so haven’t lake tested em yet. Bored today so I tested them in my pool. With all the clickbait stuff goin on, I had to see for myself.

I will say 6th sense colors are more appealing and the bait is noticeably bigger. The tail on 6 has a wider/wobbly kick, the Zaldangerous tail has a tight kick.

The action on the fall of 6 is trash as documented, weird roll. The fall on Zaldangerous is good with the tail kicking.

Rigging the 6 is easy as it should be. Rigging the Zaldangerous is a PIA to say the least. It is almost impossible to get your line through as once it clears the line through chamber, it catches on the plastic and the slit is at least an inch away. Once you try and rig one you will understand. I tried 2 different baits and it was the same. It literally took me about 5 minutes to get the end of my line through to tie on to the hook. Maybe there’s a trick, I haven’t figured it out yet.

Here’s where it gets interesting. The swim on the 6 was not very good. It wanted to roll and swim on its side no matter how I adjusted the hook, or speed I reeled. I wasn’t using the split ring either. It would have been almost unfishable. Hopefully they aren’t all like this. Maybe it will take nail weights to tune it, but at $20 a pop, shouldn’t be necessary.

The Zaldangerous swam perfect at all speeds to include burning it, no roll whatsoever.

If I could figure out how to get the line through on the Zaldangerous, I would have no gripes other than they need better colors.

Edit- tested another hangover with 3 bobber stops in front of a #1 hook and it swam upright and looked pretty good. Only issue with that one was one of the eyes fell out as soon as I pulled it out of the package, no biggie. So apparently some run true and some not as good.

Thanks for the review. I just bought a couple of each myself to compare. Just got me TW box yesterday and have yet to open. Waiting for it to get out of the 30's on a day that I can sneak off the lake.

Minner, would one of those small coffee straws help? Slide it into the line through hole and pull it out the backside. I was just at BPS and was hoping they’d have the Zaldangerous swimmer, nope, just the Magdrafts.

Curious what Ben will say, if all these baits do suck.

The straw is too big, I tried. It’s a tight hole…, bolt

Would a long sewing needle work? Thread the needle then push it all the way through with line attached?

^^^ probably would. Wouldn’t figure this would be necessary, maybe I’m missing something. Either way, once rigged, it does swim good!

I’ll have to watch Zaldanys video again, seems like he addressed it.

Nope, it was the unloaded version.

The tube from a wd40 can. Works like a charm. I super glue it in the worm after I get it setup correctly.

Won’t work on the loaded Zaldagerous. It has a tube molded in that’s smaller than that straw.

Fast sink. Idk which one. I’ll have to look. Shad color lol. It worked good. The medium sink rises too fast. Needs weight imo unless you are fishing it sub 8 foot. Fast sink is good though. They ate the chit out of it and every single fish was hooked perfect. It works. Never even heard of zaldains bait. Sounds like a PIA to rig.

The Death Roll seems to be a common complaint about the hangover... BM addressed it saying reel slower faster.

He said with the slow and medium sinks you need to reel faster…

Did it seem like you could fish that fast sink really slow on the bottom out deep and still get it to swim without rolling?
