Black with blue tail BPS Squirnin' worms 4 inch; finesse set up, unfortunately they don't make them in that color anymore. The last batch I got was in a Berkley Power Worm but I don't even think they do black and blue anymore either.

I use black as trailers in many cases, but it does have red / green / purple glitter in it.

One elite seris angler I marshalled with said he only carried 5 colors of soft plastics, black and white were two of them.

Zoom black Ol' Monster worms at night... Back in the day on one of the pools on the Ohio River a 4" black/ white tail ringworm would dominate tournaments... Not some much anymore... Always wondered why???... Dan

I still fish a lot of old school soft plastics. They are a proven winner.

Black, like any color, will do well as long as shape, size and action in combination get it done. I can't tell you how many all-black lures have caught fish of all species over the last 50 yrs I've been fishing lures. Here are a few that come to mind. ( note: dark gray in my opinion would also qualify.) Whopper Stopper Flip Tail worm/ grub body hybrid: a black skirted jig with black Uncle Josh #11 or #1 pork frog (plastic copies shown): black grubs: either curl tail or no tail. examples: black claw grub: black body/ dark gray tail paddle-grub: clear plastic lures on the other hand have done very well.
