I fished with a buddy at home ahead of one of these arctic blast and it arrived way earlier than forecast. We got iced up but not this bad, The crazy part was that little area on the boat ramp where the waves cover was iced over solid. I didn't think we were going to get back up the boat ramp. I wound up having to back the whole rig; truck and all out into the water, and getting a running start at getting up that ramp.
