I am puzzled here. When we have multiple days of strong North Winds I seemed to struggle finding them. If we 2 or 3 days of North Winds as it relates to North Texas, where do the fish go? Should I be looking deep or shallow? Any thoughts here?

This is just what I noticed this week on GV. I didn't hunt all around the lake, just some areas I was testing. These pockets were holding lots of bait, and I could see fish sitting on the bottom. I was not seeing fish on top of the humps at all down on the lower end. Don't look for the fish at first, look for the range of water where you see the bait. The bait and fish will be in the same range. This week I found sandbass in 35-40+ft and sitting on the bottom like carpet. Lower end of GV in areas where the fish could corner the bait if they pushed them shallow. Pockets where the fish could corner the bait, and force them to either go up over a ledge, or shallow spot seemed to be the best concentration. Every lake is different, and it changes fast based on the wind & bait location. Typically I migrate to the windy side, but the winds were over 30 on Wednesday so I stayed on the protected side.

Thanks "Prosise"...Good info about the pockets. Love the detail of that Map. I am assuming this Navonics.
