BMX, he came out of 21 feet of water. About three quarters of the way from the dam to Marshall Creek. He was on a huge flat nowhere near the channel or any ledges. I wasn't marking many fish but the ones that I did were really good fish. I think if I'd had more time I could've put a couple of really good ones in the boat. If I see ya out on the water I'll come say hi. I'm determined to break the lake record there this year.

Use your fingers and hands to descale those carp/buff. Scales end up in your hand as a pile and you can toss them overboard. Won't catch all the scales, but most of them.

TRH, I'll certainly try that next time. Never really thought about that. Thanks for the info!

I love that goal! I hope you do it brother.

And document the chase here! That would be a fun thread. I would like to catch even a 20 out there... Going to keep trying!

That's the size of fish I dream about catching. I never knew Grapevine had any big blues of that size in there. Next winter he will probably be a record fish, if you can catch him.

I will take a single fish of that size any day of the week over a dozen smaller ones.

Grapevine is the most underrated lake for every species in DFW. I like it that way
