34 here but the wind is bending over some of the big trees I can barely see in the dark. It blew over the big Christmas tree in downtown FW last night.

I don't have a wind guage, but I am a pretty good judge of such things. Its been gusting up to around 47.5 mph here.

Yeah, our heat has been out for over a week. Every time they fix it, it pops a fuse again. Haven't figured it out yet.

Fortunately we have a wood stove, but we are leaving to go skiing on thursday and I'm not chancing a freeze, so I'll have to cut off water to the house before we leave.

when you shut it down, open all shower heads (high point) and faucets, outside too. it will drain most of the system and the water has someplace to expand if it does freeze.

Better leave a couple of electric radiator heaters on in the house. Showing single digit lows coming.
