Here is a pic from my trip out of Destin Fla last week. In addition to what is on the board there are also 10 scamp and 5 more jacks on the dock. There were 5 of us fishing on a 12 hour trip and we went out about 55 miles. It was a fun trip and we came back with a cooler full of fish.

Nice catch. I hope you got the cheeks outa those grouper, they make some great scalop(sp) immitations. Wrap'em in bacon and put'em on the grill. I was a mate in South Fl and after my clients left, with their fillets, I would cut the cheeks outa the grouper.

is destin on the gulf side? i just grilled up some amberjack that i caught out of freeport last week. this morning i get a call telling me that there is some parasite/bacteria that is contaminating amberjack 60-100 miles out in the gulf. anyone heard of this? i googled it, but didnt find anything.

Thanks for the kind words. My daughter is 2 and unfortunately a few years away from taking her first trip. However she did enjoy looking at the "Big Fish" as long as I was holding her. If she was on the dock beside them it was a different story all together.
The Boat we went on is called Twilight. Her sister boats are Sunrise and Daybreak. I would highly recommend any 3 of these boats; the captains are all first class. They are located on the docks at Destin Harbor just east of AJ's Oyster Bar.
Destin is on the Gulf side in the panhandle of Florida. I have not heard anything about parasites on AJ's and I didn't notice any on the ones we caught. If you Googled it and didn't find anything than I would say that they are safe.
