And what are your favorite retrieves. Found a bunch of these among the tackle I was organizing over the holidays and wanted to know if guys are still throwing them.I know their good for white bass but how do they do on blacks?

I have 15 colors of paddle tail grubs I had poured up about 10 or 12 years ago In 3" 4" 5" and I just put 5 plano boxes full in my boat. Great colors for winter. I almost for got I had them. I had them put away in one of my storage containers. I was going through my stash of yamamoto single and twin tail grubs and found them tuck away and still perfect in the boxes colors still bright. I still have alot in all 15 colors.

I ain't gonna lie I enjoy how simple it is for my wifes boyfriend to just cast out a grub and reel it in, but still catch fish.

I use a fat Kalins curl tail grub as a trailer on spinnerbaits at times.

Slow rolling a 5 inch GP Yamamoto curl tail grub has prevented plenty of skunks over the years.

Good late spring - early summer time bait.

I throw a grub year round. It is a great bait to catch numbers. It also catches fish when the bite is slow. My favorite grub to throw is the Big Bite Baits Fat Grub in 5". They have a great size to them, and you can catch big and small bass with these in several different presentations. I highly recommend them.

Always have a Fat Albert Smoke grub tied on it will get bit when other lures won't. It's my confidence lure. Try different retrieves until the fish tell you.

I ordered a crappie jig kit; think it was 500 pieces or something like that from Bass Pro back in the 90's. It came with straight tail and twist tail grubs all the way up to about 3 inches and assorted colors with jig heads probably up to a 1/4 ounce both painted and plain. I bought it so I could use the larger ones to catch bass in the winter on Fork and it worked. I didn't tear them up by no stretch of the imagination but I didn't get skunked either. I fished them in about 20 feet of water off main lake points almost letting them set completely still at times. The fish I caught were like dragging a piece of driftwood off the bottom, no fight in them at all.
