With all the bs mexico is allowing, illegals traversing the country, I can't understand why people go there much less support their economy.
I would rather fish u.s. lakes I have not fished yet. Jmo I wouldn't step foot in that POS country.

I've been 17 times in the last 15 years...and now I go twice a year, every year. I've been to Comedero, Salto and Picachos. I tried Pro Bass Adventures on my first trip to Salto but once I went with Ron Speed I never looked back. Never once have I felt uncomfortable...even when they put armed guards with us at Comedero. An English speaking guide explained that the guards (off-duty policia) were there to protect us from stray banditios...not the cartel. He said that we didn't have anything the cartels wanted and the only thing they wanted was to have their business running smoothly. He explained the concern of the cartel was that if any harm came to a US fisherman they would have to shut down their operations for multiple days and that was entirely too costly. He also told us there had been some "small" issues and the cartels shut down the roads, found the Mexican perpetrators and handled the situation by making an example of them. Interesting story.
