I have done it. Bait chops nicely. Haven’t thrown it enough to say it makes a difference in catching.

Yes it works and the mod will work for most any bait that has some restriction at the joint

I have performed this mod on glide baits that I make.

I do like the chop, chop pause chop chop chop pause action you can achieve. Triggers some aggressive strikes.

I thought the same thing, why not make it that way from the factory, it does work, i have done a couple of them that way.

Exactly because they don't have very much movement before you do the mod.
