Nice frog Hop, When we were in college in western OK, we fished the soil conservation lakes in float tubes. bull frogs were a target of opportunity . If they were on the bank we would throw a plastic worm. If they were in the water , a floating frog was the ticket, They are very cannibalistic ,

Beautiful clown knifefish. Definitely on my bucket list. Congratulations on a great catch. Thanks, caught 4-5 this size, what a fight. Also a bunch of peacock bass and a few mayan cichlids. Florida is AWESOME! Did you get a guide or just go yourself? Guide. He was good. I think he was out of Ft Lauderdale.

We went bass fishing once years ago with the great Tony Clark at Lake Fork. The wind was blowing about fifty so Tony says lets go catch some sand bass,...we got out of the wind and started throwing silver spoons over a roadbed in about 20 feet of water and the fun was on,....fish after fish after fish. Throwing these spoons as far as possible and letting fall to the bottom and then jerk and reel was a blast...Debbie sails one way out there and on the first jerk she get something big. The fight was on,...she'd reel and it would pull back,...reel and pull back. Tony says keep reeling dont let up,....finally he goes for the net and the pole is bent way over as he scoops up a brand new pair of 14" needle nose pliers with big thick plastic grips of which Debbie has two big treble hooks deeply embedded. I think Tony kept the pliers....

Life journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved state. But rather skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "holy carp what a ride!"

Northern Pike with a rare mutation that turns them silver/blue. About 1 in 500 have the mutation and of those only 1 in 1200 go over 10lbs. By my math that makes this guy 1 in 600,000. Should have bought a lottery ticket that day. ![[Linked Image]](https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53197637821_633c7e6990_h.jpg) Day of - caught in April through ice 40 inches thick. Fish went 38.5 inches long with a girth of 19 inches and went 16lb on the scale: ![[Linked Image]](https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/52791513930_3826f2f706_k.jpg)

The Silky Shark, also known as the Carcharhinus Falciformis, gets its name from the smooth and silky texture of its skin. Depending on its geographical location, it is also known as the Grey Reef Shark, Olive, Whaler, and sometimes Blackspot.

No pictures but I've caught 3 rod and reels and a fresh water clam. 1st rod and reel was float fishing the White River in Arkansas, 2nd was at Lake Bardwell, and 3rd was Lake Lewisville. The one on the White River was the only one worth keeping.
"I'd rather be fishing!"

Goldfish from a park pond in Arlington. I caught a larger one at Joe Pool lake that ended up in the aquarium at the Lynn Creek Marina store. ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2024/06/full-41433-230596-p1000491.jpg)
