I know it has been discussed here before, but I was looking on-line at a welding supply store this morning and when I went to the checkout page to see the shipping and total cost there was a place for multiple tip amounts. I can see it in a service setting but on an ONLINE WELDING SUPPLY? Sheesh everybody has there hand out anymore. Why don't they just charge more for the products?

Lol I don't know how large or small a company is but they probably have a pre packaged payment platform and the settings are not right. This would be an IT problem..... which is generally to blame for everything

Speaking of tipping with the prices of food these days I am capping my tip at 15%. Those machines have 15-18-20-25 options, it’s just too much for the level of service, I’m not needy- we order quick, no special requests, have my card ready when the check is dropped off, etc.

What irritates me the most is the suggested tip is after taxes and other charges. I do tip well (alcohol drives the bill way up) on the actual pretax cost.

Yes. I try to tip well but damn we are spending 80 bucks at Texas Roadhouse just the two of us with tip
