How much would an original AC plug be worth? One hand carved and signed by Alan Cole?

As much as someone is willing to pay, I've seen these upwards of $80+ but it was a very limited run and signed.

I think you should put it to work. Throw that thing out there on fork until you catch a SAL. Over course, film the journey and put it on you tube.

Otherwise between $100 and $200

I've got an AC plug story that is a good memory from the past. A man I worked with back in the 1990's would sometimes make homemade wooden topwater lures as a hobby. He decided to craft his own version of an AC plug and made 3-4 of them he called the "RP" plug (his initials). He gave me one to try because I was fishing often back then. My first time to fish his RP plug was on Sam Rayburn in the fall of 1996 and it was late in the day after having some fun catching 2-3 lb bass on jerk baits along a clay shoreline at the mouth of a creek. On my first cast towards the clay shoreline (lake level was low), I caught a bass over 8 lbs on his RP plug. After that big bass, I caught several more keepers. The color was solid red with black stripes and a red soft plastic tail. I told my buddy about the catch when I returned to work and he was excited to hear that. I also provided him the vhs video tape for him to watch the catch! My fishing partner that day videoed it.

I have no idea, is this an AC plug? We found it at Fork a long long time ago, but never used it. Always wondered about the “Hog Boy” written on the back. I guess I should it give a try sometime.

And don’t forget that Arbogast started selling the AC plug in the 90’s. I would think the originals have quite a bit more value.

Body looks like an arbogast, but it has a different tail.

Edit: after looking online, it’s the original.

I've got 6 or 8 AC plugs - one original. Some of them still have the original packaging and have never been in the water.

Couple of very similar ones up for sale on eBay right now, not selling but listed for $95, so I assume just a bit under that.

Signed by Alan Cole, the creator of the AC plug.
