I took my grandson to a spot I used to fish all the time in Greenspoint. Haven't been here in years. There's quite a bit of construction going on at this spot. We managed a few sunnies and a lot of tilapia. All fish were caught on jigheads and worms. Check out the chunk missing on that longear

Congrats, hopefully you released them as the water quality in the bayous are quite nasty for consumption.
There are numerous large carp in the bayou near Fannin in the medical center area.
Use caution, although there are concrete banks.

GROSS. Why would you even need to post something so blatantly obvious? Who on earth would eat a fish out of a Houston Bayou?

Sorry you were triggered by an honest and cautious comment?
Why would this bother you as many folks catching fish are not aware of the elements?
Are you residing in Houston or just commenting from others' opinions?
BTW and with no assumed malice inferred,

Merry Christmas and may He be the center of your celebration.
