43X is my off duty carry 90% of the time. Great gun, will always go bang, easy to conceal, and carries a decent amount of 9mm rounds. I typically keep an extra magazine in the pocket. Very little recoil and easy to break down and clean when needed.

Looking at adding this as a daily carry instead of my Glock 22. Has anyone own/owned one and opinions? Would rather it be .40cal like my 22 but the 43x has gotten some pretty nice reviews. I've carried the G42 with a mag extension, the 43 with a mag extension, a ZEV G19, and now carry the Sig P365 with the longer magazine. I carried each for at least a year. We called the 365 the 43 killer when it first came out. It's very similar in size but double the capacity. It is my favorite of all the pistols I've carried and, for me, it handles way better than the 43. Go shoot the ones you think you might want and any other similar options you can get your hands on. It will make your choice a lot easier.

43x can be a little snappy given its size. I prefer the 42 w/ext on mag.

Check out a Sig-Sauer P365 XL (optics ready) before you commit to the Glock 43X. I love Glocks & own several, but the Sig is a step above. I highly recommend you check into this, once you go Sig, you'll want to trash your Glocks. https://www.pewpewtactical.com/sig-sauer-p365xl-review/I used to carry the G23 4th gen for work. Was like carrying a brick around. Tried that Sig P365 with the Romeo Zero and it just fits, and fires like a glove. I do NOT like the Romeo Zero as the batteries are constantly going out. (I think there's a known problem with these) But yeah, another vote for the P365. At least rent/borrow one and give it a try. You can rent one just about anywhere from your local shooting range. That G23 was very sloppy and snappy in my eyes. Ended up trading that for some work around the house. It was also the only .40 I had and now like the fact that now I don't have to worry about grabbing the wrong box of ammo or stuffing the pipe with a squib in one of my 9's.

Both the Sig and Shield are better pistols. I own all three. Been back and forth between the sig 365 and shield. I carry the the shield daily....but really like the sig too.

Shot one the other day for the first time. Pretty impressed with it. I'd carry it
