Looking at adding this as a daily carry instead of my Glock 22. Has anyone own/owned one and opinions? Would rather it be .40cal like my 22 but the 43x has gotten some pretty nice reviews.

43x is my carry. Fits fine in pants pocket, jacket and waistline. Get the 15 round mag from Shield Arms. Great shooter!

I carry a 43x. Swap it for some trijicon night sites and call it good.

Check out a Sig-Sauer P365 XL (optics ready) before you commit to the Glock 43X. I love Glocks & own several, but the Sig is a step above.

I highly recommend you check into this, once you go Sig, you'll want to trash your Glocks.

check the glock 27 for .40, had one and wish I had not sold it, I have had a 23 for about 15 yrs now.

I currently have the 42, same gun but .380 and carry it daily, easy to hide and light enough that you almost forget it is there.

For some reason I am less accurate with a Glock than my other guns. I had a 19X Coyote. I could not ever get the group as close as my other guns unless I shot it super deliberately. Mostly wider grouping and low left more.

I think it’s the trigger. Thought about having another put on it.. I finally gave up and sold it.

I have another Glock a buddy left in my safe. I shot it at the range. Same thing.

I shoot the Ruger Security 9 much better. It’s half the price of the 19X. It’s what I carry in my truck for self defense.

A pistol is pretty individual. What works for you is what you need. I liked the feel of the Glock in my hand just never could shoot it well. I had more rounds through it than several of my other pistols.

If you have big hands like me, the 43 will be too small even with mag extensions.

Great gun. I have small hands so I just carry the 43 with mag extension.

this is me to never could shoot it very accurately. I shoot all my other guns better than the glocks. The S&W, Beretta's and Sig's I shoot well, and all the bigger 1911 in 5" barrels. I like the feel of the Beretta but its not a carry pistol in the 92A. I like my new S&W performance center 9MM the best

Glocks are generally accurate and reliable firearms, but the ergonomics and that mile wide front sight make them difficult for many people to shoot as well as other guns. There's not a thing wrong with them if they fit your hand, but like any other handgun, you need to try it out for fit. The one Glock I owned I just never liked; I'm too used to 1911s and the grip angle on the Glocks just doesn't work for me if I have to shoot fast and instinctively (think muscle memory here). And that front sight covers an awful lot of real estate if you need to do any precise shooting. If the Glock fits you it's a solid choice. If it doesn't, there are a lot of viable options. But you need the one that fits you, not the one that fits someone else.

agree with you and jim ford, get what fits and what you can shoot well. aesthetics don't matter for squat when you got to pull the trigger.

I like my glocks, had a ruger .45 that was way too heavy for carry, tried a revolver a friend had and didn't like how it carried, got a glock 23 and never looked back.

have drug it thru mud, dropped twice in ponds, 3-4 times had to rinse it off in the sink so I could clean it and it has never failed. pretty accurate too, this was my chl class target with the 23, lance let me shoot a couple extra mags lol, max distance at lake fork firearms, the 7 and 8 hits were from a rapid fire magazine full. I think with any pistol you have to shoot a lot to get your trigger pull controlled so you don't wander off target when you pull. jmo

I bet a trigger guard undercut would fix a lot of this for you. I did it on all of my Glocks. Immediately makes a big difference in how the gun handles for me. Compare the difference in your grip between a factory Glock and your Ruger, specifically how the knuckle of your middle finger gets pushed down when trying to get a solid, high grip.
