It depends on the size of the graph. Small graph, just stick with DI.

Helix mega 7 si or di was what I’m thinking. Was just curious if si would be good on fortrex?

If you have the vision of a 18 year old, it’ll work. In my opinion, on a 7” graph, you’d be wasting money. For you to even get decent images on a fortrex, you’d have to go completely straight, without any side to side movement whatsoever.

DI will work decent at super slow speeds. If you’re going to crappie fish, the DI will be helpful (if you learn how to use it). If you’re just going to use the graph for depth, just get 2D.
Realistically and it’s not cheap, Livescope beats anything else out there. It makes finding fish about as easy as possible. (If crappie fishing)
