Nothing will happen to her. Some liberal, BLM loving judge will let her off with free groceries for a year. She was mad because she spent more $$ than was on her food stamp card.

Last year I missed scanning 2 items and the door person missed them also. As I was unloading stuff into the 4Runner I noticed the items I missed. I couldn't just keep them so I went back into the store with them and paid for them. The door greeter couldn't believe that a person would do that. I told her I had to be able to sleep at night and stealing them would give me problems, just the way I was raised. That’s called a “long con”. You do that a few times, lull them into being lackadaisical with you and then you can steal the good stuff with ease. I remember taking a pack of Juicy Fruit Gum from a store without paying for it as a preteen. My dad saw it and asked me if I paid for it. He knew I didn't, marched me right back inside and had me pay for it and then put it back on the shelf. I got the spanking I deserved when we got home and grounded for a month with lots of extra chores. Lesson learned.

If I'm at a store by myself. I'm there to just grab a couple of items. I'm not standing in a line for 2-4 items. I have absolutely no problems using a self checkout. On a rare occasion I will accompany my wife at the store. Those are always bigger trips. We go through a regular check out. The last time I went with her. We had a cart full. An older lady walked up with a few items. I let her cut in front of us. As for checking my receipt. That's not going to happen 99% of the time. The only time recently is when we bought a new TV at Walmart. We paid for it in the electronics department. So I was courteous enough to show them that we did buy the TV since I rolled it from all the way back there, and not the check out area.

Might as well keep them when I do happen to use a checker, they do not talk, you use to get a conversation out of them not any more... I have a problem with people that get chatty and hold up the line. Instead of getting prepared to run their card they are chatting with the checker and worse they keep going after loading their cart. Also while chatting, they wait to get their card out of their purse or wallet. Most women do this. (Not trying to be sexist ) Usually they have trouble locating the card and they may have several so they have to find the right one. 🤨 I have the card in my hand before I get there. 🤷🏻♂️
