I retired 6 years ago and said I would never go back into the classroom. I haven't but got a parttime gig at a golf course. I am working about 6-10 hours a week and the fringe benefits (free golf) are great. I would suggest it for any body that is wanting to do something if you have nothing to do to keep you busy

I am retired and have zero desire for any kind of actual job but I stay busy. My former company called me shortly after I retired and wanted me to come back as a consultant. I politely declined and told them if they needed any information from me just call and I will tell them for free but no way am I working for them anymore. I worked for 45 years straight and feel like that is enough and whatever time I have left is my time. Exactly this

I already have that lined out. Dirt/tractor work, wood working and trucking/hauling RV's. I just wish the world used cash more than card now days.

I'd get a job as a tax appraiser at the CAD. Jack up the prices on a bunch of whipper snappers the same way the old geezers are treating me now.

When I retired from full time on my way to easing into full retirement I went for a part-time job at Academy Sports in their Hunting and Fishing department. Used the employee discount to stock up on supplies for retirement, as well as get first dibs on some of the clearance items.

If some rancher out here would hire me to "sign cut" his property daily, I'd probably do it for just the cost of fuel. Loved that job!
