Went to Kiepersol yesterday per advice of the OT. Food and spirits was great along with atmosphere. My mom has been telling me for awhile how dangerous loop 49 was and I couldn't believe it so I decided to take it thought it's not so bad . Sure I get on down and boom highway blocked off probably fatality. So on the way home decided to back track down to hwy 175 to Frankston and east to Dallas for a more scenic drive instead of I 20. Turned out to be a great day. Still going to try Four Winds for comparison. Thanks

Los Pinos just outside of Pittsburg is a great winery. Be sure to call and make reservations on Friday and Saturday nights. They have a really nice outdoor sitting arrangement that me and the wife enjoy.

Live right by Loop 49. Its a death trap for sure. I never use it because their are so many accidents on it!

As toll roads go, 49 is bottom of the barrel. I still don't know why there are so many accidents on it.

My son is building a new house on some acreage close to Kiepersol. I have gone out there a few times and we got on 49 a few times. 69 from Jacksonville is bad enough, but 49 is like a racetrack. I think my son is one of the reasons.
