I had a pistol in the glove compartment once along with my insurance. Cop asked for the insurance and I told him of the situation and just asked what he’d like me to do. He took my word on the insurance.

I make sure my insurance isn’t in the same place.

One would be an idiot to inform a police officer you have a gun on you, great way to get shot

You follow the rules and laws and show your DL and LTC

I'm curious about the basis for your statement.

Your insurance is in the glove box?

Tell me your old without telling me your old... in the glove box? Seriously?

My insurance card, gloves and my pistol are in my console. My truck's owner's manual and related docs are in the glove compartment.

Mine is either in my console or on my hip in the 4 o'clock position.

PGR, I absolutely agree 100%
I will always keep mine up to date and have attended classes after I got mine just to keep up with when you can and cannot use your handgun in Texas.
I like the no background check and the reciprocity and the rules about how you can carry in your vehicle.
But those somewhat complicated laws should I ever need to use mine, is something I sure want to be clear on.
How would you like to live in Austin, or Dallas for that matter and find out your constitutional carry does not let you shoot someone who is running off with something they stole out of your truck?
