Sooooooooooooooo Sad!!

WE really do miss Squaw Creek

My husband & I obtained our Scuba Diving certification there back in 1987.

Caught alot of great Bass out of there.

I am convinced that the Lake will never open again to the public. Much to risky, its such a shame

Nan

SOUNDS LIKE POOP TO ME. HOW CAN WE GET A PETITION TOGETHER TO TRY AND OVERTURN THIS CLOSURE. WE AREN'T HIDING ANYTHING AND IF ANY OFFICIALS WANT TO DO ANY KIND OF CHECK AT AN ENTRANCE GATE I'M SURE NOBODY WOULD OBJECT.

IT WAS NOT TO RISKY FOR EVERY OTHER NUCLEAR POWER PLANT LAKE IN THE UNITED STATES TO REOPEN. JUST THE ONE NEAR AND DEAR TO OUR HEARTS.

It's been months since the last time I got a reply from TXU as there Chief inspector is the one who decided to close the lake after 911 ! Last year I emailed TPWD, NRC,and they all pointed to TXU ! They TXU reply was that Squaw creek was closed until further notice! I would recommend that you could go to TXU,s web site and email them with your questions and complaints! I'll get some more info and post it here today !

This comes from a very reliable source: A frien of mine was invited to fish Squaw a few weeks ago with a TXU official and a few politicians. The purpose seemed to be to wine and dine the congressman to help TXU with a proposed rate increase. Said friend informed me the fishing was unbeleivable around 200 bass w/largest going close to 10lbs.). I also heard that there was a tournament held there a month or so ago, anyone heard about this? It may have been something like Kid Fish or something similar. It really sucks that the few terroristic fishermen out there ruin it for the rest of us. COME ON T.X.U. OPEN IT UP AND LET US FISH. DO A COMPLETE SEARCH OF OUR PERSONS VEHICLES AND BOATS AND LET US FISH. PLEASE

Udamdan Thanks for the information I will write TXU also and see if we can get that thing open it's been closed long enough.I have heard that people who know the right people get to fish it and I think we should be able to fish it too.Let them break out the dogs if they have to.

just to let you know TXU (Oncor now ) has closed ALL PARK aftr 911 to every one including employees at all power plants. This was under the advise of HOME LAND SECRUETY. All power plant lakes have but one purpose and that is to cool the power plants.
