Has anyone had a chance to personally use or handle this new line of bait that Jacob Wheeler helped to develop? Anything above the norm you liked? Seems like a few new designs involved?

I bought the pintail minnow (looks like a spunk shad). Seems like a well made bait. Through it on a Chatterbait. Acts much like a spunk shad.

Stupid name. Sounds like a free game you download on your Nintendo. Must be marketed for high school kids.

The Cleanup Cras looks decent but I think it's a copy of another brand.

Based upon the products in the video; I assume they're working with Southern Plastics on slightly modified or straight licensed molds from other brands.

Its not licensed. Some of the plastics are copies of OSP in Japan DoLive series. See the 1:26:00 mark or so.

By licensed, I was talking about the "flanges" on the craw that looks like a Strike King bait, and the use of "Elaztec" in the Ned Rig Bait. I don't fish Japanese baits, so the OSP was not anything I was aware of. Thanks for that, though.

Yeah, it's coming to the point that copying is going to be the norm / flattery. With the millions of designs on the same bait, how many more ways can you tweak it?

I'm used to our stuff getting knocked off. I take it as a compliment.....what usually happens any way is the knockoff is not really that much less in cost and after a couple of months people gravitate back to the original version.

Gandy can speak about this.

In the epic "prostaffer" it's brought up. It happens for sure.
