Went to Lake Granbury yesterday afternoon and the fish were very active. I caught several carp, catfish and buffalo on a fly. No records, but it was lots of fun.

Thank you for the nice comment. This evening I lost a carp at the bank and caught a hard hat.

I hear those hard hats are pretty elusive.

They do have good resistance and movement in the water. At first I thought it was alive.

I've heard that the hookup ratio is actually better with J hooks than with circle hooks........

If you put a tail on that hard hat it looks a lot like the last Buffalo pic

That is true and I like j hooks so I get to do a big hook set.

That is one of the better hard hats that I have seen taken, Well done. I am sure that it is a probable PB and line class record.
