skinny champions, can't beat the ride and they fish as good as any other.

and they were bought out just to kill the brand, the mold destruction should prove that.

everyone has their favorite, mine is champion after riding in most others.

I have to disagree with you on that one. My Legend is the driest boat that i have ever owned or fished out of. It's only a 19' boat though so that may have something to do with the smooth ride and not getting wet in rough water.

I really liked my Champion and was really impressed with a Legend. With that said, I wouldn't bring either of them back. If I were buying new today, there are several boats I would buy before those. I wouldn't trade my Basscat for either one.

Got some pretty cool stuff so far.
Another boat that really gets me going is the old Skeeter HP series from the 70's and 80's. It was the first high performance bass boat I ever saw as a kid. It was at D'arbonne Lake in Louisiana, standing on a boat dock and one came by me with almost the entire hull in the air. It looked so cool I almost cried, had goose bumps. Never got to ride in one but the cool factor was off the chain.

if boat builders thought they could make a buck by bringing skinny champions back it would have been done. the champion faithful got charger to pop the most popular champions an they dont sell because the folks that are on the champion bandwagon remember when the boats could be bought new for 35k the market has gone way past the model an price.

Ditto
Still in my 89 champion as well. I'll prob not ever buy another boat, too attached to the old girl. She has taken care of me, and the 88 black max 175 (manual mix) is still running strong. I shake my head when I see the prices of new boats.

Best boat I ever rode in was a 21ft gambler (mid 90's), you would have thought it was a hydrofoil in 25mph winds. That boat is now owned by my buddy's nephew (Jason) down in the Austin area. My buddy Matt and I spent allot of time fishing out of that boat. You could square dance on the front deck of that boat.

I remember when I got into bass fishing and started noticing brands. My favorite back then was ProCraft.

Several I’d like to see. Laser would near to see again. I think the one I bought was a 1989 model 19ft if I recall. All I know it would fly and a dang good boat.

I had a Cajun years back that was a solid boat, seems like it was a 19ft. Would like to see a 21 ft Cajun, same boat just made bigger.

I’d like to see Stratos brought back. 201 Stratos was a good boat. Stratos made a model which I can’t recall, only made it a few years. Always thought Phoenix copied it.

I’m surprised Legend hasn’t been brought back.

Norris Craft made a good bass boat for a few years, I think it was an XLD 2000. Would like to see that same boat wider and 21 ft..

Thanks, Billy

Venture - not many seen around Texas but they were very popular in the Southeast. Fast and very stable riding boat. I had a 1985 here in Grand Prairie and caught lots of fish at Joe Pool back in the day. Great memories!

I have a friend that owned a Laser, that thing was insane fast. Cajun's where hot in there day, I knew folks that owned the old tri hull versions when they were a fairly new boat, those things would cook too.
I figure since Johnny Morris bought Legend and shut it down he's probably got all the rights tied up and unless someone come up with a pretty tidy sum of money.............If my next boat happened to be an older boat, I'd like to look into either of the Alpha boats. Heard a lot of good things about them. Chris Lane ran one and really talked a lot about how smooth they were and dry too.
