Fishing every evening since last wednesday, Nov 1, for no more than an hour a night, standing on the shore, dropping a jig straight down into a 6-6.5 ft "hole", and getting nightly results like this, I'd say the fall/winter crappie season is off to a running start!
If I could just figure out how to get the pics to go with this post, we'd be in business. I have 6 to attach, but how?

When you don't have a way to get your small boat to the lake, and autumn and winter approach, walking the creeks from first frost to about President's day in February is extremely hard to beat! Easy pickings, with inexpensive equipment(tube jigs 96 cents a pack, cigar bobbers, 5 pack for $1.96, jig heads, 10 for about 3 bucks, ultralight gear, beat that! BTW, tonight another hour of pretty good fishing. 13 beauties from 5:30-6:30 pm. Night time is the right time!! [Linked Image]
