Bought an X2 Group 27 battery about 10 months ago. I (stupidly) thought my Minn Kota 315D charger could charge it. I leave my charger plugged in when not using the boat.

I noticed the other day that the battery was only showing 12.3v on my Helix graphs after I unplugged the charger. I ran out and picked up a NOCO Genius 10x3 (10amps per bank) charger and put it on the AGM setting.

Is this battery toast, or is it possible this new charger will bring it back to full charge and I can get another couple of years out of it?

I hope it works out good for you.
Reading on batteries plus website.. Is it really 3 to 5 year battery life? 400 bucks seems high for only 5 years..
Are AGM lighter?

Compared to an equivalent sized lead acid they are several pounds heavier

if it is below 10v you need to hit it with a car charger with at least a 50a output (jump start mode) for about 3-5 mins. to get it zapped so the charger will recognize it.

should be fine after that.

I've got a Minn Kota 330D in my rig and I read all the info on it and it says it will charge lead acid, AGM, and Lithium batteries. That 315 ought to be capable. If you don't have the owners manual, I believe you can pull it up on the Minn Kota website. I'd go read up on it. Hopefully you'll be OK. I'd take the battery or batteries out and go have them load tested just to see where you are. They'll do that for free at any parts store. If they still have warranty left and they are showing weak or bad you could probably get money back on exchange.

The voltage reported on your graph can be lower than the actual battery voltage. The wiring used from the battery to the units can do this, and not to worry. You need to measure the voltage at the battery. I have two graphs on a Lithium battery which report about (.3v) lower than the battery voltage measured at the battery. Long runs from the back of the boat to the front could make this reported voltage at the unit lower than the actual voltage measured at the battery.. Even if you run 10Ga wire from the battery to the unit, most power cables use very small ga wire that connects to the unit. I cut this small ga wire back as far as I can and solder directly to the fused power supply cables to reduce the voltage drop from the battery to the units. Butt spice connectors are nothing but trouble, and will induce resistance to the wire (which will cause a voltage drop). It's a basic series circuit, or voltage divider. Measure at the battery, to verify and keep fishing. The unit will alarm when it gets to the low voltage threshold set in the config.
